Vapor Cigarettes are the New Generation Smoking Options

People have been desperately trying to find out the technical alternative of smoking for years now. With the ever growing health awareness and pressure to ‘quit’ smoking from various health and charitable organizations, it’s a not a surprise that an intelligent hi-tech answer has been found for all the smokers! The vapor cigarettes. Over past couple of years manufacturers have begun to release, what is commonly known as vapor cigarettes! It contains no tobacco and unlike traditional cigarettes they are not made of paper but of high quality plastic or metal. They don’t need to be set alight but they operate using an electrical current provided by internally charged batteries.

These are smoke-less cigarettes which produce a vapor or steam, due to a cartridge installed inside them and thus giving a realistic sensation of smoking. These cartridges inside the vapor cigarettes also release small doses of nicotine, and even different flavors and scents of water vapor. The electronic vapor cigarettes are being marketed or sold as an alternative to tobacco version of the same. It claims to deliver the true experience of smoking. Much hype has been created by the media regarding the true effectiveness of the varied claims made by the manufacturers and there are still a lot of doubts and concerns regarding these claims.

The concept of the first vapor cigarettes appeared in the patent acquired by Herbert A Gilbert in 1963. The product was introduced to the masses as new ‘smoke less, tobacco free’ cigarettes. Due to lack of technology and no public sense of urgency towards these alternatives, this concept never materialized. The modern e-cigarettes that we see today, was finally re introduced by Chinese manufacturer Hon Lik in 2003.The Company was renamed as Ruyan (meaning to resemble smoking).

The benefits or adverse effects of cigarettes are subject to much debates and discussions. Many doubt that this would usher in the age of great smoking interest in children and kids. The controlled and organized studies and researches in this field are till scarce due to its recent release and instant popularity. Laws regarding sale and distribution are also stuck as pending legislation as the debate still rages about the effects of these vapor cigarettes.

Unsure whether the product was just a temporary craze or it was a permanent alternative to solution to smoking, the media greatly added to their demand among public. This news of growing popularity of vapor cigarettes gave great hopes to potential cigarettes quitters that there smoking days were truly numbered. What really caught the imagination of young and mature public alike was the fact that it’s an electronic cigarette and no doubt it’s a novelty.
